SriVari Seva : Voluntary Service to the Lord Of Seven Hills

Tirumala, The Abode Of Lord Venkateswara, is visited by millions
of ardent devotees every year. With a view to render better service to these
pilgrims who come from far-flung parts of the country, Tirumala Tirupati
devasthanams has launched “Sri vari Seva”.
This Seva Provides a unique oppurnity to the devotees to
serve fellow pilgrims and participate in devout service aimed at inculcating a
serve of fellow-feeling and a spirit of service, According to the scriptures
the divine grace can be attained not only by worshipping the lord in the
sanctum sanctarum but also by serving his devotees. Thus, The ‘srivari seva’
ensures the added benefit of serving lord srinivasa through selfless service to
his devotees.
Under the seva, Pilgrims can offer their voluntary service
in the following areas:

Annadanam 2. Queue Lines 3. Kalyana katta 4.
Gardens 5. Laddu Counters 6. Vaikunta Queue complex 7. Free Bus 8. Pilgrims amenities
complexes 9. Information centres 10. Vigilance 11. Health 12. Central reception office (CRO) 13 Srivari thirunamam 14. Bus Stops 15.
Pushkarini etc.
Tirumala groups consisiting of not less than 10 memebers and
ready to work for atleast one week may participate in the seva on prior
intimation and they will be provided with free food and accommodation in
tirumala. Bhajan troupes can also take part in this service which will be an
inspiring experiences to the participants. Professionals like doctors,
engineers, management executives and experts in their chosen fields who can
render service to the devotees are welcome to offer their services through srivari
seva only hindus are permitted for srivari seva. Every srivari sevak should put
the Tirunamam/Tilakam or Kumkuma/Chandanam bottu to identity as hindu.
Srivari seva will form an integral part of worship at
tirumala. If enlivens our spiritual life and prepares our body and soul to act
to the will of the supreme lord though the srivari seva. TTD endeavours to
perpetuate a noble illustrious Acharyas like tirumala nambi, Ramanuja Charya
and Ananthlvar.
